From a Company Car to a Tarlac Dealership: The Carluxe Auto Deals Story

Owner Carlo Moralde turned a ₱50,000 profit on his first car sale into a Tarlac dealership, and credits financing partners like Global Dominion for helping it grow. Carluxe Auto Deals started as a cash-only buy-and-sell business in Moralde’s garage. Today it offers a wide selection of used cars.

Before selling cars, Moralde worked in sales as a medical representative with a company car. After three years, he acquired the car, sold it, and earned about ₱50,000, a big sum at the time. He reinvested the profit, bought a Toyota Vios, sold it at a higher margin, and kept rolling his earnings into the next car. His own first car was a Honda Brio Amaze.

“Sabi ko, ano pala ito, nag-accumulate? Parang nagro-roll lang. So, doon nag-start,” (“I told myself, it’s adding up? It just kept rolling. That’s where it started,”) said Moralde. People started asking him for more units and brands than the first time, until he got to know what car buyers needed and wanted. He realized that his sales skill in the healthcare industry was universal, and something he could carry over to the automotive industry. His interest in cars topped with his skill in sales became an effective combination for expanding what he started.

Months later, he began offering financing for the cars he sold. His profits improved, and deals moved more smoothly. This experience is not unique to Moralde. Many of Global Dominion’s other dealer partners started and grew the same way.

But Moralde’s story of perseverance and loyalty is on another level. His desire to help others aligns with the values of Global Dominion, and he noticed how well the financing company treats its partners, regardless of where they are in their entrepreneurial journey. Small partners are treated like any other partner: with respect and professional communication. “Doon namin na-feel and naramdaman yung support ng manager, ng mismong staff […] na-feel namin na priority kami ‘pag partner kami,” (“That’s where we really felt the support of the manager and the staff themselves, we felt like a priority as their partner,”) Moralde shared.

“We’re truly proud that our business partners feel like real Ka-partners,” said Lea Yap, Global Dominion Luzon general manager. “Being there to help them with their immediate financing needs is good, but being with them through their growth is so much better!” Yap added.
